The beauty of using colour pencils is that you can achieve a range of depth, depending on what you are looking for. The finished picture can be either bright and bold, or soft and light, or anything in between.
Unlike paints, colour pencils cannot be combined to achieve different shades of colour, and each pencil retains its original colour when applied.
While there is no drying process, the application is slow and precise, as once applied cannot be drawn over or erased.
